Judy and Mickey Grove from Mickey's Marine once again supplied the "Happy Santa" trophies for the parade winners. Salt Water Garden Club members upheld a long standing tradition by serving as judges for the parade and provided cornbread, crackers, condiments and the meat & ingredients for chili that was superbly prepared by "Chef" Granger from the 3rd Friday Dinner Club. Candy, cookies and beverages, cash donations and/or door prizes were provided by Ballard Plumbing (Sharon and Bobby Ballard), Dianne Hunt, Endeavor Marine, Land-n-Sea Marine, The Hidden Palms, Del Papa Distributing of Galveston, Secure Mortage (David Paschall), Network Funding (Walter "Butch" Remschel), Michael Tate Roofing, Bruce Wise Landscaping, TPA Bulkheads (Freddie Oberndorfer), Mike Schilling, the Prouxl Family, Patty Peacock & Ann Calloway, Louie's Bait Camp, Linda Nickelson, Atty; The Stan Miller Group, Bayou Vista Beverages, Shear Perfection, Gulf Coast Computers, Bayou Bistro, Jeannie Tamborello (Mary Kay products), both Bayou Vista convenience stores and Team Vista (Jill Costa, Kandy Dawson, Lee DeForke, Jr., Sylvia Pinson, Randy Rogers, Sigrun Burke and Iva Davis, Broker/Owner). And a special thank you to Diana Wilson for coordinating the Garden Club food and judging and to Brenda Johnstone for guidance and support and all her help with the on-line entries. Wonderful start to the Holiday Season - thank you all!

We are planning a really Great party this year to benefit the Bayou Vista Volunteer Fire Department.


The funds from this year New Years Bash will go to buy a new or update the heart Defibrillator and the cost is around 10 to 12 thousand dollars. We have collected a number of items for the silent and live auctions, but we still have some needs.

If you have an Item you would like to put in the auction you may call me (Tanya Russo) at 281-738-3397 and I will be more than happy to pick it up or you can drop it off with Paula at City Hall. You will be listed in the Vista View, Event Program, Galveston Daily News as well as posted on this message board, as well as many mentions through the night of the party.

We also look for sponsor to send a fireman to the party by buy a ticket for them and that cost is 40.00.
